I found this place to be really well-located, nestled on the northern slopes of Calton Hill and close to all the Edinburgh sites. The rooms offer lovely views of the garden but lack proper ventilation. The beds, however, were very comfy. The service was exceptional, especially when they found out it was my Birthday and surprised me with Champagne. The location is just perfect for sightseeing, and the friendly staff make your stay even better. I enjoyed the dining experience, with continental options available and some healthy choices for vegetarians. The facility's rear garden is absolutely stunning, giving me a peaceful retreat. The constant noise from taxis on the cobbled street could be bothersome at times, but overall, it's a great area to stay in. The only downside was being charged extra for some basic amenities which I expected to be included in the price. Despite this, I had a pleasant and memorable time during my stay.
